G’day Adam,
I have seen a lot in regards to throttle controllers and, bang for your buck, they seem to be OK. Do you work with any and have you had any experience with them?

Hi Ash,
We do work with throttle controllers and have sold and installed many at our shop. We generally use the Idrive controller but have also had experience with the Torqit brand as well.
They are at two different price points but both work really well with the Torqit brand being slightly more expensive. They don’t increase power or top end it’s just a much quicker response time.
What they do is change the response time from the accelerator to the computer and you get much faster take off. They also seem to reduce the turbo lag felt sometimes on take off.
Some people reckon you can simply plant your foot to the floor quicker, but I have never been able to reproduce the same thing. If you’re looking for a faster response then for the money they are definitely the way to go.
