Step 1: remove every single thing that isn’t bolted down from Dunes.
Step 2: spend the next few hours trying to figure out how to fit it all back in.
Who loves packing?

You used to have to buy ridiculously overpriced alpine gear for expedition bags, but I’m running all @darcheoutdoorgear bags now. They’ve been from coast to coast, on boats, in the dirt, planes, trains and they’re legendary.
A good bag is hard to find…a great bag is impossible to destroy.

@outbacktagalongs Swipe left to see my first ever barra: a 90cm silver sheila who gave me a fierce fight on the bank of the Pentecost River.
This muddy-tailed 80 is from the Nulla Nulla, only accessible by chopper but just around the corner from the Pentecost crossing on the Gibb.
I was absolutely hooked from the start, and I think I always will be. Once you've fought a barra and won, you'll forever be chasing that dragon.
Our Kimberley Photo Tagalongs always include a day at the Pentecost hunting the drug that hooking a barra truly is. @carlislerogers @elquestro @homevalleystation

Crossing the Madigan Line in Ghost, boiling the billy on gidgee embers before the sun rises.
The third densest timber in the world, this stuff is the best camp oven fuel in the country.
Now that it's campfire season again, what's your favourite firewood? cypress pine? gidgee? mountain ash? western cedar?
