Set on a spectacular 43-acre property in the heart of wine country. The hardest decisions you’ll have to make out here are whether to fill your days exploring the area’s famous wineries, charting the nearby Wollombi Valley’s 4WD tracks or simply kicking back and enjoying the uninterrupted views of the surrounding bushland from your private luxury cabin.

THE LOCATION: The sprawling bushland property is located in the Hunter’s North Rothbury, just 60 clicks inland from Newcastle and two hours up the M1 from Sydney, yet seemingly a million miles from anywhere.

With acres of bushland in each direction, the last thing you’ll need to worry about up here is noisy neighbours. Perfect for a long weekend escape for Sydneysiders – you could knock off work on a Friday afternoon and be checking in by dinnertime.

THE ACCOMMODATION: Choose from five separate, architecturally designed one and two bedroom units fashioned from recycled shipping containers. Each of the cabins has a unique design theme and is surrounded by nature.

The cabins are gorgeously decorated with tasteful furnishings throughout. High quality bed linens, blankets and towels are provided and kitchens are well equipped with modern, functional appliances and all the cookware and dining utensils you could require.

THE FACILITIES: Guests will be tempted to stay on site through the days and lounge in the outdoor spas, or relax in the hammocks and custom made timber furniture.

Evenings on the property are enviable and often tempt guests into extending their stay for an extra night or two. Make use of the private barbeque facilities and enjoy a meal, glass of wine and stunning view from the outdoor dining areas.

THE HUNTER VALLEY: Set in the heart of the famous Hunter Valley region, there’s plenty of great diversions close at hand for those keen to indulge their Epicurean tendencies. With more than 150 wineries in the region, it’s worth taking a tour of a couple of the closer vineyards in order to sample some of the local produce and perhaps pick up a few bottles of a favourite drop from the cellar door.

Be sure to visit some of the local establishments, including the Royal Federal Hotel and The Crib Box for home cooked produce.
