NINGAN STATION, WA

Ningan Station is located within the Shire of Yalgoo. Pic: yalgoo.wa.gov.au

Ninghan is a proper outback station, and a first rate spot for city slickers to sneak a first hand taste of life in the Wild West. The property is spread across a yawning 200,000 hectares and is located 380km north of Perth.

While Ninghan’s a proper working station, its owners welcome tourists to come and check out the property and to enjoy their hospitality.

The station’s an easy morning’s cruise up the highway from the West Oz capital, and although technically close enough to town for an overnighter, there’s plenty to do and see around here so we’d really recommend factoring in at least two days to see the sights.

The station is run and managed by the Bell family, who should be contacted on (08) 9963 6517 prior to visiting.

STUFF TO DO

4WDING is a way of life out here, and there’s no shortage of unsealed tracks within the station’s bounds. While most of the driving is on the gentler side, there are some tricky sections on the track leading out to Mount Singleton.

MOUNT SINGLETON rises over 700m above sea level and is the highest point on the station. Make your way to the summit and be rewarded with panoramic views of the station and surrounds.
