The Outback is a place defined by the act of driving. Once it may have been the range of
horse-men and threadbare cattle, but for the modern man it is an exercise in endless sun-blasted days or harrowing white-knuckle nights full of wild kangaroo and emu hell-bent on suicide-by-LandCruiser. With an automobile, you can chase more than miles: you can chase light.
Sometimes it seems like that is all I do – race the setting sun for that last perfect shot.
