The Tree Point Conservation Area is almost within snatch strap swinging distance of Darwin, and is a great spot for locals or interstate visitors to get out of town for a day, chill out and wet a line.

SHADY CAMP, NT
The renowned barramundi fishing operation Shady Camp is located within the Mary River National Park, under 200km east of Darwin and well within range of a daytrip from the state capital.
BUTTERFLY GORGE, NT
Butterfly Gorge is protected by a nature park and is 130 clicks out of Darwin. Access is via the old Stuart Highway scenic route. The access track is 4WD only and is closed through the wet season each year.
