Chichester State Forest is a knockout spot in the hinterland of the NSW lower north coast. It’s about a three-hour run north of Sydney and is imbued with the sort of serenity that makes it feel much further afield.

Flea Creek is tucked away in a valley surrounding the Goodradigbee River, near the northern fringe of the Australian Alps and within the Brindabella National Park.
COXS RIVER
The Coxs River is a cool freshwater watercourse that rises in the Ben Bullen State Forest and flows over 150km through the Blue Mountains before emptying into Warragamba Dam.
BLACKSMITHS BEACH, NSW
Blacksmiths Beach has always stayed somewhat low-key compared to the better known Stocko, but while it receives less traffic, it’s a killer option when you’re hanging out for a straight up beach run.
